Why Large Pendant Lights are so popular
Today, an increasing number of families choose to dine at a dining table which is lit by the soft glow of large pendant lights. The atmosphere produced by these lights is warm yet relaxing. It is a welcome change from the harsh light that derives from a chandelier. This may be one of the reasons why large pendant lights are so popular.
Four types of large fabric pendant lights are manufactured by Restoration Hardware. One is the two tiered pendant. This 25 and a half inch diameter pendant matches the height of a similar hanging light. Each individual lamp comes with a six inch and several twelve inch rod lengths. This means that the family will be able to select the desired height for their pendant.
Just like all the pendants making up the RH range, the two tiered multi light pendants comes with rods of one of two different colors – bronze or satin nickel. Just like the other pendants in the range, the fabric of the two tiered pendant light may be one of four colors – white microfiber, black, goldenrod linen or natural linen.
In addition to RH’s two tiered pendant light, simple round and rectangular pendants are also available. This rectangular light measures 44 inches in length, 15 inches in width and 12 inches in height. It features sockets for a total of three bulbs.
RH’s round pendant proves the cheapest of all the fabric shaded pendant lights. It costs only $450. For an additional price of $45, a round Pearson lamp can be purchased. This lamp offers a little extra elegance than the basic round pendant light. The rectangular light costs $695.
Pendant lights will typically cost less to purchase than chandeliers. Furthermore, lights of this kind do not require any special types of light bulbs. For this reason, the owner of a handing light of this kind will be able to enjoy the added savings that they make. The absence of the requirement for specialty bulbs means that not only money is saved. It will not be necessary to spend time searching for the correct type of light bulb so time will be saved too.
Sometimes, a family decides that a fabric covered light with a soft glow is not for them. Sometimes, a family may choose to dine under a large rectangular pendant light with a transparent shade. In this instance, guests can clearly see the type of bulbs used in the lighting element. This substitute to the fabric covered pendant is termed a filament pendant.
