Wardrobe Closet Furniture


Wardrobe closet furniture refers to not just the armoires built specifically to house a persons wardrobe, but points to the different and unique designs of armoire furniture whose function is for that other than the wardrobe. In other words, wardrobe closet furniture points to the various armoires available for use around the home outside of the closet.

What types of armoire furniture does this include?

1. Wardrobe Closets.
This is self-referential, but let’s include for the sake of completeness! Most of the time the word “armoire” designates that of of the wardrobe armoire, or wardrobe closet. Most people associate these two together, and most stores that sell armoires primarily sell them as wardrobe closets.

2. Entertainment Armoire.
An entertainment armoire is used to store the TV and other eletronics, usually front and center in a very large wooden armoire. The entertainment armoire is a popular option, is there is nearly always additional space for more than just the TV, with storage included for books, photo albums, gaming systems, and of course movies!

3. Jewelry Armoire
A jewelry armoire ranges from a simple lightweight armoire with a series of drawers, weighing 10 pounds total, to large, delicated designed, 100 pound armoires with a dozen drawers, opening latches, and hidden storage areas for “special” or expensive jewelry that would be best served being stored out of sight.

4. Portable Closets.
Portable closets and armoire furniture are similar but often actually different, as it’s hard to find a portable wooden closet, and the wood aspect of the closet is what makes it qualify as an armoire. Nevertheless, portable armoires are any type of small armoire than easily movable.

These 4 examples show how diverse the furniture can be that falls under the umbrella of the armoire, or of wardrobe closet furniture.
