Five Fun Nursery Themes
The fact that there will be a new baby causes excitement among family and friends, but the fact that you can let whimsy take over and really go a little over the top with designing the nursery makes this decorating project so much fun. There is no home decorating project that is more exciting than creating a nursery for a new baby. These five theme ideas may help to get your creative juices going on ideas for your baby’s nursery.
Little boys love almost anything that moves from cars to trucks to airplanes. It is amazing to me how quickly a baby boy will prefer to play with these types of toys. So why not decorate the nursery in a suitable theme such as airplanes. There are a great many selections of airplane baby bedding available to use as a jumping off point for your decor. Hanging model airplanes from the ceiling would add visual appeal and tie in with your theme. You might want to paint the walls a pale blue and add some clouds near the ceiling to add to the effect.
A frog themed nursery could be used for either a boy or a girl. You will find frog baby bedding that features nothing but frogs and selections that also feature other animals. One thing is certain a nursery full of frogs will be a fun place to hang out.
A classic theme for many years is Winnie the Pooh. You will find baby bedding in styles that depict the classic Pooh characters and in styles featuring the Pooh characters as depicted by Walt Disney. A Winnie the Pooh nursery will be quite easy to accessorize as their are so many products available.
Another theme idea that would be perfect for either gender is a Noah’s ark theme. I picture a Noah’s ark nursery with a mural of a boat with a colorful rainbow behind it. This room could easily be accessorized with a variety of stuffed animals, in pairs of course.
While you usually don’t think of little girls and bugs at the same time, there is one bug that even girls like. Ladybug baby bedding is offered by several different manufacturers and all I have seen are “cute as a bug”. While you will find many selections using red, black and white, you will also find ladybug bedding offered in several other colors too.
I hope these five theme ideas help you to create the perfect nursery for your new baby.
